Every person applying for or renewing a farm labor contractor (FLC) license in California must take at least eight hours of relevant, educational classes each year [California Labor Code 1684(b)(2)]. Only classes approved by the state labor commissioner may be taken to meet this requirement.

The following details pertain to the courses offered by the Farm Labor Contractor Education Institute:

Wage and hour rules
Farm worker transportation and housing requirements
Agricultural Labor Relations Act
Preventing sexual harassment in the workplace
CLASS PRESENTERS
The classes will be presented by industry experts who have been approved b the DLSE to present specific topics Participants attending the classes will receive a certificate of attendance from the Farm Labor Contractor Education Institute.
COST TO ATTEND
The cost to attend a class is $180 per person for AgSafe members. The regular rate is $200 per person for non-members. The rate for all late/day-of walk-in attendees is $220.
CANCELLATION POLICY
No refunds will be issued. If you are unable to attend the class you have registered for, you may attend another session. Advance notification is requested to reschedule and attend a different class.
