Women in agriculture juggle farm operations, family life, and off-farm work—often leading to stress and burnout. The Kentucky Farm Women’s Leadership Summit offers practical, interactive tools to ease those burdens and build confidence in a male-dominated industry.
This one-day event focuses on self-awareness, communication, and stress management to support farm sustainability and employee retention.
Presented in partnership with Kentucky Women in Agriculture, Farm Credit Mid-America, Dr. Kristie Guffey, and Coach Kiah Burchett.

Speaker Bio:
Kiah Twisselman Burchett
Kiah Twisselman Burchett, also known as Coach Kiah, is a California cattle rancher
turned Kentucky-based international motivational speaker. She is passionate about
helping others love themselves deeper, care for themselves better, and embrace the
messy, beautiful journey of life. Named the 2020 Beef Advocate of the Year and one of Cowgirl Magazine’s Top 30 Under 30, Coach Kiah combines authenticity, humor, and contagious energy to inspire others to overcome obstacles and become the main characters in their own lives.
Kristie Guffey
Dr. Kristie Guffey was raised on a small beef and tobacco farm in Cadiz, Kentucky. A
former state FFA president, she earned her undergraduate degree in agricultural
education from Western Kentucky University, followed by a master’s from Murray State University and a doctorate in Educational Leadership. Kristie taught high school agriculture, served as FFA camp director, and is now an assistant professor at Murray State University’s Hutson School of Agriculture. A passionate advocate for women in agriculture and mental health awareness, she serves as secretary for Kentucky Women in Agriculture and is a QPR Suicide Prevention spokesperson.
Natalie Gupton
Natalie Gupton serves as Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at AgSafe, a
national nonprofit supporting safety, HR, and compliance in agriculture. A native of
Monticello, Kentucky, Natalie is a seventh-generation farm kid with deep roots in
agriculture. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with minors in
Agriculture and Entrepreneurship from Western Kentucky University and a Master of Public Administration from the University of Kentucky. An accredited Certified
Fundraising Executive, Natalie has held multiple leadership roles within Kentucky
Women in Agriculture, including President (2023–2024) and now Immediate Past-
President.
Marcus Tyler
Marcus Tyler is the Customer Resource Manager for Farm Credit Mid-America, where he leads strategy for engaging underserved and emerging market producers through education initiatives and community investment. Previously, Marcus served as Emerging Agriculture Business Development Manager, fostering innovation and supporting historically disadvantaged farmers. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Economics from the University of Kentucky and an MBA with a specialization in Entrepreneurship and Family Enterprises from Louisiana State University. Marcus is dedicated to building inclusive ecosystems within the agriculture industry.
